We figured out the issue with the staples for the booklets. The staples for the booklets look like this when taken out of the box brand new:

The cartridge on the left is how it should look when installed. These staple cartridges have clear covers on them. These covers NEED to stay on when inserting into the printer. The cartridge on the left is what we found in one of the printers (we took out the staples) but there wasn't a cover on the staples.
